Why an icon mail club?

Icons (sacred/liturgical art) have existed in two main ways in history: for (i) veneration and (ii) didactic purposes.

This is because icons function on the level of intellect as opposed to the rational. Our intellect directly grasps truth as effortlessly as our eyes see the sunset.

It needs no words, no logical movements from proposition to proposition. Instead, our intellect immediately apprehends the reality before us. And this is why icons are important and powerful. Icons embed a thousand words without words using colour and composition. Through them, we meet the Beautiful, Eternal, the One where dualities are reconciled.

And so, I want to bring this tangibly to you through these exclusive prints of my hand-painted icons.

A prayer card and an explanation of the symbolic meaning within the icon accompany these prints. This is to help you deepen your understanding and faith.

I want the icons to encourage you to pause and prompt you toward contemplation and reflection. Think of it like a token of support in your ascent towards the mountain into the cloud of unknowing.
