Silence = Power
Man can’t thrive if he hasn’t found peace in silence.
Silence is the treasure hidden in a field. When a man finds it, he sells all he has and buys that field.
But to find the treasure we must detach ourselves from the constant noise that surrounds us.
Noise is a parasite that thrives at the expense of the host; the ever-present distraction that has the power to sedate kings and warriors.
Noise detaches us from ourselves. It drowns out of our vision and sedates us. And this is why we avoid reflecting our path.
And if left unchecked our souls will wither. And only silence can revive a dying soul.
Silence forces us to reflect our path. It reveals our weaknesses and strengths. There is no treasure like silence.
“The greatest things are accomplished in silence—not in the clamor and display of superficial eventfulness, but in the deep clarity of inner vision; in the almost imperceptible start of decision, in quiet overcoming and hidden sacrifice.”
- Cardinal Robert Sarah, The Power of Silence
